CKCAC-TACK provides demand-response community transportation with destinations to any point within the state of Kentucky. Reservations for service are to be made by calling (800) 242-8225 at least 24 hours in advance. TACK is a subcontracted transportation provider in the Kentucky Medicaid Program.

OFFICE HOURS: 8:00 AM- 4:30 PM (Monday-Friday) excluding holidays

SERVICES: Community services are provided 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday-Friday (excluding holidays). Senior Citizen (age 60+) pre-set route service is provided between 8:30 AM and 3:30 PM. Other Contract schedules are negotiated.

SERVICE AREA: Community demand-response and Senior Citizen services are provided in Breckinridge, Grayson, Hardin, LaRue, Marion, Meade and Nelson counties. Senior Citizen service is also provided in Washington County.

ELIGIBILITY: The public at large are eligible to utilize community transportation services.

(*NOTE: as of 6/27/03; Due to differences in federal Public Transportation programs, with the creation of a Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) in the E’town/Radcliff/Muldraugh urban area – some fare-paying public transportation will no longer be available in that urban area through TACK.)

The “fee paying” riders are those affected, it does not affect Aging Program transportation and Medicaid/Medicare reimbursement riders. The Senior Citizen services requires certification of age 60+ or spouse of person 60+.

FEES: The fare for community transportation* is one dollar and 25 cents ($1.25) per mile or a minimum of five dollars ($5.00). Although there is not a charge for senior route transportation, there is a suggested donation of $1.00 for each local trip.
