SERVICES: Individual maintenance-free apartments; prepared meals; emergency call system; planned recreational, spiritual and wellness activities; trained 24-hour staff;housekeeping; transportation. Personalized service programs, including “Life Guidance” specialized for individuals with memory impairment/Alzheimer’s.

ELIGIBILITY: Private pay; some long term care insurances accepted.

FEES: Monthly rent based on apartment size and level of services needed. Assisted Living services: $1,575 – $3,275; Memory Impairment/Alzheimer’s: $2,775 – $3,425.

The Kentucky Department for Aging and Independent Living (DAIL) oversees and monitors the administration of programs and services at the local and regional level, establishes policy and advocates on behalf of Kentucky’s elders and people with disabilities. DAIL works to support
and enhance freedom of choice and independence.

In partnership with Kentucky’s fifteen (15) Area Agencies on Aging and community partners to provide needed services and programs, DAIL is focused on addressing issues and circumstances that stand in the way of elders and people with disabilities achieving the best possible quality of
life.

Provides general information on services and programs across the Commonwealth.

Lincoln Trail Senior Citizens Centers

SERVICES: Social and Recreational Programs, Outreach, Information, and Referral. Apply at senior center.

ELIGIBILITY: Persons 60 years of age and older or spouse of a person aged 60 or the disabled adult child of an eligible participant.

FEES: Donations are accepted for meals and transportation as this is a Federal program based on donations.

SERVICES: Support group to assist family/friends with the challenges associated with Alzheimer’s. Free information and referral to community services available. Coordinated by Miranda Ray, LPN, and affiliated with the Alzheimer’s Association.
